Loved this 80s themed hotel. The female at the desk was very helpful with our luggage & directed us to the closest parking structure. Traveling with 2 toddlers is rough at times & she helped my wife get our luggage to the room while I parked.

Fun, unique hotel. DEFINITELY NOT for everyone. The rooms are small, there's a terrace outside that plays music until late at night, the towels are scarce, etc. However, the retro vibe is a blast, the beds are comfy, it has a very convenient kitchenette, the location is great and the terrace was incredibly fun. I would stay here again but make sure to pack an additional towel.

Must be nice in good weather. When it's cold you don't use the outside facilities. Our room supposed to be in upper levels but they got as the ground level. They forgot the housekeeping one day even tho we asked personally (they did it correctly the other days). Everyday is a new person in the front desk, I didn't like that, felt like in a hostel not a hotel. Rooms were clean when we got there, plenty of space to live, cook, etc. Out air conditioner was on the floor, beside the bed, so you can't sleep with the hot air straight to your face. There was no heater in our room (which is weird because the corridor had) just the air conditioner and a small portable heater. The WC is nice but the water does not get hot enough. When it's 30F outside it does make a big difference. TV is nice, a big 55" brand new and good channels. Goos location, at least 4 dofferent metro lines go there as I can remember now. The line 1 RED stops right in front of it. We recommend, but be aware of all above.

Got a weird rash after staying here. Pretty sure it's ringworm. Also the sheets and comforters wreaked of mildew/mold. Lots of loud music down the hall and Nobody stationed at the front desk to handle it, in fact the front desk person was uncomfortably absent during most of our stay. What is to keep an unsavory character from following a guest into the elevator and robbing/raping someone. There was a strong odor of pot as well as other unwelcoming odors. Also pretty sure there was a prostitute hanging out in the hospitality area if I had to guess from the pricing she was giving over the phone to someone. That hospitality area was also very ill maintained. The entire time I stayed aside from check in I didn't see one hotel employee. I have stayed at hotels with similar structures and minimal staff (yotel being the most memorable) and those hotels have all been way better maintained and had a much safer feeling environment for its guests. All in all I would never stay here again. Not a place to bring family or friends unless you enjoy paying to stay in a frat house.

Great place to stay, had a really nice time! Within walking distance to a lot of things. Has a market across the street and a Whole foods a couple blocks down, paired with a simple but capable kitchen this is incredible! Rate was very fair and hotel was clean and updated. Walls are thin just as other reviewers have mentioned so as long as you have respectable neighbors your fine. Our first night we did not, but staff was willing to move us at our request. Free wifi and walk out terrace are great additions as well! Will definitely return on our next visit to the big apple... Thanks guys for running a great place! Keep it up!
