The front desk staff did not initiate conversation with me when I was standing at the desk (this happened multiple times - check-in, check-out, and when I had questions at other points during my stay.) Once I was greeted, the staff was helpful, but I would not call having to wait until their personal conversations were over before greeting me great customer service. I felt ignored. I was told that I could park at Icon Parking, I was given directions, and was told where to go. I went to Icon Parking garage located between Beaver St. and Williams St. and was greeted promptly and given a ticket while they took my car. Hilton informed me that it would cost $40 per 24 hours. I was prepared to pay $80 just in case my stay lasted longer than 24 hours. When I picked up my car, it had been 28 hours. I was still prepared to pay up to $80. The bill came to $130. I find this experience to be the one thing I will remember most about this Mother's Day trip. It's not a fond memory to have and I would like my money back. $130 for parking for 28 hours is crazy. Customer service was awful all-around. They all need training on how to treat others respectfully.

Great hotel located in a nice quiet area. I’ve always stayed around Midtown New York when I’m in New York City but this time I switched it up and spent my trip in lower Manhattan. The location is very convient, South Ferry station is across the street, if you take the 2 train you’ll be in Times Square in no time. The Staten Island Ferry is also next door if you want to take some nice pictures of the city skyline and Statue of Liberty. The room was very nice, clean and modern. The staff were very helpful and outgoing. Overall I enjoyed my stay and I would recommend anyone to stay at this hotel if they want to stay in lower Manhattan

Modern, clean place with comfortable rooms and great rates. Excellent location with easy access to public transportation. Restaurants, shopping and tourist stops within walking distance. I knocked off one star because the elevators were slow enough that I had to plan an extra 10 minutes to get to and from my room when going anywhere. I included a couple pics from less than a block away!

Front desk staff was very pleasant. Self parking garage which is very affordable took me half hour 2 find and there are 5 Icon garages with a 1 mile radius by the hotel. Amenities were bare bones. No coffee in the lobby 24 hours and no water. Minimal amount of towels and condiments also. Shower doors and bathroom door design is poor and doesn't shut completely.

The location is excellent and the rooms are decent. The reason I knocked off two stars is because one of the housekeepers tried to go through my backpack and hand luggage. I usually leave my bags zipped in a certain way so that I know whether someone opened it. I was out all day and when I got back I saw that the zippers were in different positions and my hand luggage was half open. If staying here, I would highly recommend not bringing valuables. If you must, make sure you put it in the safe.
