  Management is awesome! Great location! Fun atmosphere! Priced correctly for the value! I'd say if you know what your looking for in a TL walk up, this is your go to hotel! Bravo to The Western for being authentic, fair and not trying to be anything but itself.

  Junkie atmosphere without being over the top - minimal amount of crackheadiness.

  This is located in an extremely dangerous area. I was mugged right outside it a few days ago and brutally punched in the face. Savage criminals and thugs hang around on the sidewalks waiting for victims. It is not the fault of the hotel, but the surrounding area needs much better policing. Bring pepper spray or a taser if you plan to stay here. The city really needs to clean up this neighborhood!

  The positives is that you get a full dish network with premium channels. The guest are loud. Some smoke in the hallway. And I've seen some take about doing drugs in their room. Plus my room has bedbugs.
