I have been shopping at this T.J. Maxx location for over 10 years, and have seen the many renovations they have made over the years and changes to the interior of the store. All of the updates to the interior of the store were mainly positive, other than some sections being moved to places that are not logical. However, one thing that has never changed is the actual customer service and employees who continue to work there; there are not many around, and the few that you do find are usually not helpful or even pleasant to interact with. The product inventory has recently become better, with more “high end” brands there, however, they are usually not significantly cheaper than the full price (and not enough to warrant the damage that is often seen on products, particularly handbags- some which are visibly damaged and still being sold for over $200). They also seem to have issues with products having clearance labels on them, but when you wait in the incredibly long line to pay for the item, it rings up at full price. They then proceed to do a “price check” which often takes about 20 minutes, and tell you the item was “mislabeled” and is the price they rang up, and will NOT honor the price that the item was labeled from the sticker (like most other businesses usually do). The absolute worst department is the jewelry/watch department, which usually is staffed (if you are lucky) by one employee; however, this same employee is always there, and says that she can “only help one customer at at a time” so you end up waiting at least 30 minutes for the person browsing before you to finish, even if you already know the item that you want to buy. Although, there have also been times where it is not staffed at all, and there is never anybody around to ask for help, as they are always seemingly understaffed. In my numerous years shopping here, only the interior design and some inventory has changed, but one huge problem has remained the same: the lack of employees and customer service they provide you, many of them are just plain rude to you (especially the managers), and the insanely long lines it takes to check out on any given day, no matter the time. I have found and bought the occasional item from this store, but not because it was discounted, but because I genuinely liked or had a need for that item. I have been to other TJMaxx locations and they have significantly different inventory and much better staff, so I do not think the problem is with the chain itself, rather with the individual store and people that continue to run it. I would not recommend shopping here if you want any sort of relaxing shopping experience or if you have any time constraint; also, their prices on “designer” items are not very discounted (and certainly not discounted enough to make up for the problems listed above).

Not to bad. But of a mess. Great deals. Just have to go with a lit of time on hand.

My wife loves this place because of "The Runway" that features high end clothing at relativly low prices. If you know clothes and and prices, there are great deals to be found there. Wish I could say the same for the men's runway. Although there are values to be found, the quality and range of merchandise they sell are not "Runway" worthy. Besides that dissappoint, in general the store presents a clean easy to maneuver shopping experience, plus the manager, Mike is a real mensch. He and his staff deliver full price service in a discount store.

Bought a few candles, otherwise everything I wanted to buy was gone and the plase was a bit of a mess. The staff was really friendly. Did not wait in line long and I will be back, I shop there often, you can find a good deal if you take the time to search.
