Not too much that is great at this place. Bad odors everywhere. Dirty beds and bathrooms. Staff was unpleasant and acted as if we were an inconvenience. We left a day early. Stinky!

Not a traditional hotel experience, and that is not a compliment. My first complaint is on the service. I informed the front desk that I was checking in due to a house fire that had dislocated me. They were unable to accommodate early check in or late check out without an additional $40-60 fee. The woman at the front desk made me feel like I had done something wrong for even inquiring. Second, the room. There are no windows or natural light except for the front door. The shower is absolutely awful. Random temperature fluctuations and janky controls. The room was not clean when I entered, there was hair and trash from the previous resident. The walls are paper thin and you can clearly hear conversations in the adjacent rooms. Finally, there is not a 24/7 on-site staff. If you're locked out after hours of have a complaint about noise, you are out of luck. It would have been a one star review but the bed and bed sheets were pretty good.

We had a great experience here. From booking the initial reservation, to the upgrade in services, to late check-in and late check-out, and the room itself. Everything met or exceeded expectations. We stayed in the A suite. It was a 1.5-bath suite with a large living room with a sofa, 40-inch TV, fireplace high-top table mini bar with a mini fridge, microwave sink, and coffee maker. There is a large bathroom with a separate shower that easily accommodates two or more. In the separate bedroom, there was a king-size bed with a second fireplace and a massive jetted tub that will accommodate a 6'5" person and guest with no problem. There was a 1/2 bath in the room as well and another TV in the bedroom which was perfect for watching while soaking in the tun There were plenty of lighting options and other comfort settings to set the mood and relax. The only upgrade I would suggest would be to get slightly larger TVs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future.

We have a very poor experience with the management at The Columbia Inn at Peralynna. We had to vacate our house during a remodel and booked a stay via a third party travel site at The Columbia Inn. We chose the inn for its location (close to our kids school) and for the reasonable price offered via the travel site. We booked for 2 adults and 2 children. On the Friday evening before our stay, we received a call from the inn management where we were informed bluntly that the price we had booked at was incorrect and was only for 2 adults. We tried to explain to the manager that we had correctly selected 2 adults and 2 children (and had the receipt to prove it) so the price mistake was not ours but the third party sites. The manager interrupted frequently and talked over us, insisting that we had made the mistake and that the inn would be charging an additional 50% of the initial cost to our credit card. Since we were so close to the check in date, they also said we could not cancel our booking so our only option was to eat the additional cost. Over the next 24 hours we spoke with the manager multiple times and each time was treated with condescension and rudeness and occasional half-truths. We would not recommend this inn to anyone.

What an incredible house! I won't spoil it for you, but there's definitely an interesting story behind the Columbia Inn. My husband and I visited here for our 30th anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, tastefully decorated, and snug. The bed was super comfy, and the bathrooms were well stocked. We loved exploring the different floors, multiple staircases, and cozy nooks. Some great spots for photo ops! The Inn staff was wonderful as well-- friendly, knowledgable, and very helpful. My only misgiving was the $40 I paid for the romantic display of candles which consisted of six tiny votives surrounding the one-person bathtub. Go with the flowers if you want an extra. (You get to keep the flowers and vase.) They were in the process of renovating while we were there, but it wasn't a disruption at all. Overall, we had a lovely time and would visit there again!
