  Best vet in Houston. Our puppy has been in and out of here quite a few times with various ailments, but he gets so excited when we pull up.

  My poor dog is such a lemon. She had all these random health issues when I got her from the shelter that took so long to figure out and diagnose. The entire staff at Washington Heights was so wonderful the whole time- my dog would still jump out of the car wagging her tail when we pulled up even though she was routinely having a needle shoved into her abdomen for testing. She is now a happy, healthy dog with well-managed conditions because of the patience and persistence of the vets and staff here. I moved away for a few years and now that I’m moving back I’m coming right back to this clinic, even though it’s a bit of a drive for me. Totally worth it.

  I have been to a handful of vets in the Houston area and I'm very glad I gave this one a shot. I'll be coming here for a long time! Pros: -Super friendly front desk staff -Good location -The vet and vet techs I have interacted with were all very helpful and kind and answered all of my (many) questions and they were open and honest about their prices -During my pup's first visit, they had a little welcome sign with her name on it Cons: -Parking lot is tiny

  I can't say enough good things about this place. They provide amazing care. We dropped off our new puppy for a first time visit on short notice (because of adoption we only had a 2 day window), they made time for her and even followed up with a very detailed phone call from the doctor. When we went back for vaccination follow up, we had a more questions which they were happy to answers. While there we let them know our pup had been scratching at her ears. They ran a test to determine she had a bad yeast infection in her ears. I'm happy they did the test, so we could get the right medication and treat our pup. Overall very thorough care!

  Dr. Pilgram is enthusiastic, fun, and communicative. We felt like she was really on our side and the side of our pet. She communicated in a timely manner, when she said she would, and was always respectful of our time. We were given plenty of options and freedom to make the right choices for our pet and our family. We felt like we would be supported no matter what option we chose (aggressive treatment or not.) Our pet had a similar episode in another city and the care cost twice as much with much worse kennel-side manner. The other staff were helpful and flexible as well. Prescriptions and medications were provided with no fuss, and they made considerable efforts to contact previous vets.
