This isn't a review for the actual museum. I haven't had the time to get inside and look around. The memorial for the B-24 "Liberator" which was created here in San Diego is always a favorite. It isn't to crowded and has a nice grass section with shade to lay under. The unique thing about this memorial is the names of the many Crew that flew the "Liberator" are engraved around the coin pond. Very unique to read through all the names and get a unique sense of World War 2 history.

A very respectful treatment of the Vietnam experience. I didn't last but a few seconds because it opened up wounds I didn't know I had.

Great little hidden gem across the street from Balboa Park. It's a little sad, but it's a great tribute to our veterans. A solemn reminder that freedom is not free. I highly recommend it.

My Downbeat big band performs every 2nd and 4th Sunday evening. I love to review a different section each time to read all the articles, artifacts and photographs. You get a feeling of being transported back to 1940 era.

Great time for my husband, myself and our 4 year old. Wonderful illustrations, relics and timelines. Heartwrenching writings, pieces of history and memories of our American heroes. Great place for all ages to learn, respect and appreciate our military vets and active duty. And to understand what others gave their lives for: our freedom.
