Located in beautiful Balboa Park San Diego, the Fleet Science Center is always a hub of activity. There are many "hands on" activities which make learning fun and relevant. The theater is domed and shows interesting movies usually nature themed. We were there last to see Pandas shown around Earth Day.

This place is incredible! If you have children you need to come by here at least once a month. We spent four hours here, including the IMAX theater show, and still did not get to see everything they had. The people that work here work hard to make it fresh and change it up every time we visit. Highly recommended if you have children.

From time to time it has interesting exhibits in it. Some are better than others. My daughter usually loves going here though and has a lot of fun. They show movies for extra cost and right now have a myth busters exhibit going on.

Not impressed. The science experiments are small and have been used thousands of time because theyโ€™re kind of dirty. The entire building is in dark rooms, which is the opposite of Balboa Park on a sunny day. Youโ€™re almost better off skipping this museum and enjoying the park instead. Also first Tuesdays are residents day for free so you cannot find parking before 9 AM and the line is out tothe street, so out of town visitors are a little out of luck because apparently there are 5000 visitors to the museum that day which makes it super packed and crowded for such a small space.

Checking in took about twenty minutes, they only had one employee selling tickets. Some of the exhibits have been there for ten plus years. The maker space was great and the employee there was very helpful. They have a cool tape exhibit that everyone can go in. Plan on extra money for special exhibits (Mythbusters and movies). Not a local but they do have a free day once a month for San Diego natives. The bathrooms were clean and as always we brought or own sanitizer. Exit runs through the gift shop which is typical for science museums. Columbus and San Francisco science museums are still tops on my list.
