Took the kids here around Christmas time and they had some lights and fun activities for them. They also had hot cocoa and cider for everyone. Great memories and plus a really cool place to learn facts and see awesome displays!

One of the best Air and Space Museums on the west coast. The flight simulator they have is fun. Its mostly a self guided tour although they do have head phones. The best part is that the museum is on the grounds of historic Balboa Park, the former site of the worlds fair. Balboa Park is a sprawling park with trees and rolling green hills covered in grass with historic buildings sprinkled among the scenary, you could spend an entire day here and still not see everything. From the historic gardens to the world famous SD Zoo, this is a must see place on your visit to San Diego.

Great place for airplane enthusiast! Alot of history from military and non military aircraft. It's family and kid friendly. There are workshops along the path to stimulate kids minds. Kids can play STEM games as it pertains to aviation. Although a bit small compared to some of the more well know aviation museums you will definitely get your fare share of education on aviation. Definitely a place to stop by.

Ask questions ... the people are super informative. Unpaid airplane buffs who care to share their stories. Takes you back in time! Lots of history ... engines, prototypes, and lots for kids to climb in and explore. We love to find inexpensive places to explore.

Very small and tightly packed aviation museum with high admission fees ($20 for one ticket👀) There are a lot of interesting exhibits on display here but it seems like not enough thought was put into their presentation. You might catch yourself accidentally walking past something you’re interested in, or searching for info on something that caught your eye - not finding it. Overall okay were it not for the previously mentioned High Admission Fees. Some of the staff aren’t very knowledgeable re: missing info on certain exhibits.
