My husband and I booked a room for the night as we were in town for an event outside of the hotel. We simply dressed and slept in the room and ate dinner at the Grill. First, the front desk staff was polite, the lobby was pretty, and the room was fresh and clean. We went ahead and ate dinner at the Grill even in spite of being very rudely "hissed" at by the hostess for not having a reservation but then immediately seated. (Apparently there were open tables rendering a reservation unnecessary?) The food was average for that caliber of dining. The waitress was good. The water never got warm enough for a shower, and we were awoken at 6 am to the sound of our bill being slipped under the door with a couple of unwarranted extra charges. This sent a very unwelcoming message. Thankfully they did reverse the extra charges. Overall, our stay was not bad, but it wasn't great. Our event outside the hotel was lovely. We enjoyed our travel and time in St. Paul, but we were not that impressed with the hotel experience. We are just not the uppity type.

Enjoyed high tea in the lobby of the St Paul Hotel. Live piano music created the ambiance and attentive waiters kept our tea cups full. Delicious tea. The six serving tea was tasty, while not the most delicious food I've had it was solid.

Nice hotel. I loved that they had complimentary fruit and their breakfast was really good! Nice pool and hot tub. I gave 4 stars only because their coffee wasn't the greatest and beds were very uncomfortable. Other than that, it was pretty nice!.

Very nice hotel. The lobby area is beautiful and staff were personable. Because of the snow we arrived a little earlier than check in, which is 4pm, the desk allowed us entry to the room. Originally I was told that I would not be able to check in early, so I appreciated the customer service after such a long drive.

Great spot near many restaurants. The rooms were very nice and clean. Great mini bars in the room. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend valet parking your car
