  This place was gorgeous and in the best location. It was really central to everything we wanted to see and do and the staff was incredibly helpful. I was a little disappointed that the balcony was so steeply angled down as it was a little uncomfortable to enjoy sitting outside.

  The building is gorgeous but the courtyard was under heavy construction and not usable. The construction continued all over the building all day (9a-8p, roughly) and was quite loud. The location was to die for, though. This is good if you are just looking for a place to crash but it's not great for spending any time. Overall, it had lots of big advantages but just as many big-ish disadvantages. It's very pretty, though. If you don't mind form over function or don't need much space, definitely check it out. Would not recommend this for families.

  This is not (insert large hotel chain name here). Don't come here if that is what you're after. The Biscuit Palace has a unique personality that is not for everyone. This is a true piece of New Orleans history, and it feels like it. If you appreciate dime store boutique, mixed with down-home charm and an awesome location you will not be disappointed. You might have to look past old beds, old creaky plumbing and some other things in the process. If you're looking for New Orleans flavor you've found it. If you prefer modern amenities and flat screen TV's stick to the big hotel chains.

  Room was basic and the shower curtain was rigged together just right to not fall over. Sadly, we weren't visited by a single ghost the whole night, despite the portraits on the walls and the nails sticking into the room. The balcony, while shaky and slanted, held up the whole night allowing us plenty of opportunity to sit on it in the humidity, watching patrons from the bars on Bourbon be unceremoniously tossed into the streets. The air conditioning unit in the window was loud but kept the room at 78 through most of the night, just cool enough to flirt with comfort.
