This is a beautiful restaurant with excellent service. It's a great place to celebrate a special occasion or for a romantic dinner. The Chilean sea bass and red snapper were both delicious.

Food was really good. I recommend teriyaki salmon. However, the hostess was extremely rude. It's terrible when young black people don't give each other the same respect that they do others. Needless to say some Hostess almost ruined the evening for my girlfriend and I are on our anniversary . I reserved a window seat for 8:15 pm. I showed up at 8:05 and was told to wait at the bar, even though I can see the table that I reserved. I got up to ask if we can sit in there table since we reserved it and we can clearly see that it is sectioned off for us. The hostess told me "I control the seating", and had us wait at the bar for another 10 minutes (while nothing is being done to the table). Please hire people that represent the brand.

Ocean Prime DC is another wonderful addition to a high-end chain that works hard to provide an excellent dining experience. Our group of 4 enjoyed a wonderful evening eating dinner at the bar. Service was first rate, fast, and extremely friendly. After starting with Berries & Bubbles and a craft beer or two we moved on to important issues! The steaks were perfectly prepared and the crab legs were amazing and delicious. Our only note was the beer menu listed Guinness as and “English” beer. This was almost enough to fire up our Irish blood but we refrained from complaining too loudly. We always enjoy our visits to Ocean Prime.

I was at the DC location last night with my date. We had a disappointing experience. To start off, we weren't greeted in a warm, welcoming manner. The hostess didn't even have proper attire on. She failed to cover her right breast entirely. Not only her bra was showing, we could see her right breast completely. Our waitress didn't seem very confident or knowledgeable with the menu. I ordered from the restaurant week menu and my date ordered from the regular menu. What a huge difference! If you wish to invite guests to your restaurant to sample your menu, you definitely should be sincere and do a great job. Nothing I had from the restaurant week menu was good. The salad looked very sloppy. When we mentioned that to our waitress, she said well, it might taste really good. Everything else I had was extremely salty, including the dessert. To me, your team failed to impress you're guests. My date had the calamari, which was way too sweet. They did try to remake it but then it was very greasy and soggy... We felt like most of the items are way overpriced. If the food was good, we would understand the need to increase the price. Not when the food is salty, greasy and unenjoyable. On the positive side, drinks were amazing. Definitely keep your bartenders and treat them well.

Mediocrity at its best. Hostesses did their job, not very warm nor welcoming. Bus boys couldn't stop asking us whether or not we were done with our food. Throughout the entire night! Restaurant week menu was A JOKE. Just think of a knock knock joke and compare it to Dave Chapelle. Can't even. Regular menu items were mediocre, nothing I'd look forward to having again ever in my life. Everything on the menu was extremely rich and fattening. If you cooked fat in fat, it'd taste great. The positive notes were the ambience and the drinks. The decor, music and seating were great. In a very modern and chic way. The bartenders definitely know what they're doing. We had several drinks and they were all great. I definitely recommend the berry and bubbly. Other than the salty dessert and the greasy everything. I would consider coming back for happy hour.
