  So the library it's self is quaint, clean, and nice staff. So my only issue is they have a cat and I'm incredibly allergic to them. I was there for 10 minutes and had to leave because I began to have my reaction. So , my point is I can't use my local library and have to drive further. I just think it's super inconsiderate because people have allergies . I shouldn't have to find another library because of it.

  Me and a friend (we are African American) went into this library to use their computers and print out some items. We were there for about 30-45 minutes. When we left to go check out and pay for our prints my friend gave the Liberian $1.00 to pay for $0.50 prints. The librarian with the low hair cut( Caucasian lady) was giving my friend her change she decided to put the change on the desk for my friend to grab and not in her hand, like a respectful person would do. Everytime I use this library I get looked at weird and stared at by employees and patrons! If your a person of color I don’t recommend this library. The vibe is just not right it doesn’t feel welcoming.

  Today, 27 July, was the first time I went to the library. I took my 2.5 year old daughter with me. There are lots a fun hands on toys & puzzles for them to play with. I even put on a random impromptu puppet show for her & the 4 year old little girl she befriended. As with any toddler, they get tired & when they are tired, they get cranky. My daughter was getting cranky & started tossing a fit. Cleaned up the game, picked her up & left as fast as I could w/o too much disturbance to the other people there. As I was leaving, a "fellow" patron got the attention of the librarian behind the clerks desk, pointed at my daughter & proceeded to make a wrap his hands around her imaginary throat, making shaking & choking gestures. The librarian nodded her head, giggled & then glanced in our direction and upon meeting my gaze, she quickly glances away. It's one thing for a patron to be nasty to others, but it's quite another story for city hired employee to be so disrespectful & disgusting to a 2 year old. NEVER again, will we be up there & I suggest other toddler parents to steer clear from them as well. Barnes & Noble on Hulen has story time and that is where we will go from now on.
