::The food is mediocre. It's not terrible. It's not great. Just acceptable. Not overpriced either. The service is great. Their choice of live entertainment?

::My friends and I go here on Saturdays and have so much fun! Great music, fun crowd and awesome vibes. Does get a bit crowded but that just makes it more fun

::I normally actually never write reviews but I have to in regards to The Commoner. This is hands down the best bar/club I have been to in Houston. I have been to many clubs in every major city on earth and this place ranks high up there for a few reasons. First the doormen are super legit, they do not hold the line like most places, and they are far from racist. Not sure why the last the comment below was talking about, the music is great, it gets really packed downstairs but I mean that makes sense seeing how good this place is. My only complaint is I miss the house music that would play upstairs but the music is great regardless. Keep the great work up and please do not close down!! Cheers

::Two clubs in one. The Commoner (downstairs) and The Boulevardier (upstairs) provide completely different vibes between each other. However, they both play cool music; just pick your poison if you like more old school or newer sound. Between my first visit to these clubs and the last time I did, the popularity has increased a lot since now you'll have to wait in line before you can get in. In the past, I'd be able to walk right in. The good thing, however, they still don't charge cover. They're not too pretentious about what you wear (baseball hat and sneakers are acceptable), and most importantly, they don't discriminate their patrons. These clubs get packed but getting a drink is never a problem, as long as you can get to the bar. Fighting the crowd to get to the bar is the real challenge here. Will be back.
