Panera Bread in Newburgh

  At approximately 10:15 am on June 3, I went to Starbucks, which is located in the same shopping complex as this Panera Bread cafe, to buy coffee. When I arrived at Starbucks, there were numerous fire trucks parked outside the cafe, and an employee informed me that they were closed due to a fire. Consequently, I went to Panera and ordered a grande coffee with two shots of espresso. This is a beverage that costs me $4.19 at Starbucks, but I paid $7.75 at Panera. The coffee was good, I must admit, but in my opinion it was not as good as Starbucks’. I am a frugal retiree, and I feel like someone who has been sucker punched because of my experience at Panera.

  Did rapid pick for 4:50... had to wait an extra 20 mins standing there, while the employees were busy literally dragging their feet as they walked and clowned around. Wasn’t busy at all. Got home, no chicken in my food which was supposed to come with it. I called in order to rectify the situation and I guess they couldn’t be bothered bc someone picked up the phone and hung it right up. No hello, no anything. It’s not a corporate store it’s individually owned so I guess I get the shaft and the owner keeps my money.

  Food is ok but not worth the price. I won't come back.

  The food is great, but the prices are a bit steep. I love the fireplace in the middle of the seating area. The seating area always looks clean and we'll kept.

  Love the healthy choices and the service is usually quick. My family and I are all gluten free though it isn't life-threatening for us. There are several salads and dishes that we can safely eat, and a darn good gluten-friendly cookie. Yay!
