::My son has been going to this nightmare place for past 3 years and the staff act like they don't even know him. The therapists are awful. They are never available. Always calling out or quitting. That should tell you something about this place. The front desk staff are so unprofessional. I've called on many occasions to hear them giggling and carrying on as if they are at a party. I beg you all to stay far away from this place if you want good therapy or psychiatric doctor. Don't waist your time. They make up stories to cover their arse. STAY AWAY!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!#dontgothere I try not to give them a star but this ish won't let me. So, I had to click on 1. So dumb!

::Honestly would not even give this place 1 star. Let me give you some context here: I have been a patient here since summer 2009. I've had my ups and downs, both with the office staff and the therapists and psychiatrists. Overall, the therapists and psychiatrists are very nice and helpful and lovely. My issue is not with them. You could not find better people. My issue is with the office staff, and New Horizons itself. I am a college student. I go to a school five hours upstate. Because I could not make the mandatory number of appointments, they closed my case. This pissed me off-my school would've let them do distance therapy via Skype even but they refused. I was told I could do another intake and reopen my case when I came back for winter break. So in November, I called, left a message for intake staff. Did this two more times over the next couple weeks. I even emailed my therapist of nearly five years asking her to put in a good word for me. Today I called and finally got an intake person. I was told as I didn't have four full weeks, I was unable to reopen my case. I told them that I had called, repeatedly, for the past month to assure I would have the time necessary to reopen it. They claimed they returned the call of everyone who left a message-obviously a lie. Whoever runs New Horizons has clearly never practiced a single day in their life, or else they would be better managed and not dropping college students for having to go away to school. I completely understand their appointment policy for everyone else-but a person going away to school does not mean they wish to stop treatment. At the least, they could've actually returned my call. Instead, they will no longer get my business. It's been eight and a half years. We've had our issues, like me telling the front desk staff to change the phone number they had for me for appointment reminders multiple times, only to find out they were STILL calling my dead mother's cell phone to remind her of my appointments. I put up with it. I put up with a lot. But I refuse to put up with bureaucratic nonsense and being treated badly any longer. It's not worth it, even though I had a good thing with a therapist and psychiatrist there that I liked. I'll try to find someone who is actually competent and values their patients' wellbeing, rather than making them worse. If you actually need help and can go elsewhere, avoid New Horizons at all costs. They are a business, and run very poorly. The people at the management level do not care about you, or your wellbeing. Just your money.
