If you walked into a hole in the wall that was also a dimensional wormhole to a bar from the 70s, you would be somewhere close to Le Mardi Gras. It's got New Orleans knick knacks, an old school jukebox, and a cash register that makes you say "wow, are they really going to use that?" And they do. It's not super cheap but not super expensive. And it's got comfortable booths to chill in. Highly recommend dropping by.

Used to go here often, great place away from the main drag of Walnut and the crowds that accompany them. Small place, fresh made juices, and smoking is allowed inside. Would vouch that it's a good place to go alone and make talk with the local barflies.

I love this place for many reasons. They use fresh squeezed juices to make their cocktails, and for only a dollar or so more, you can get good liquor in your drink. There's an older style juke box with great oldies, and there's usually a trendy crowd on the weekends. The bartenders and friendly, and generally the patrons are pretty chill. My only complaint is that they allow smoking, so you'll come out of here really smelling like smoke.

If you don't mind smoke, this is a gem. It doesn't serve fancy cocktails although they are very proud of their fresh fruit greyhound. It doesn't charge outrageous prices. It's dark, the clientele varied, and attitude carefree and straight forward. That is the appeal of Le Mardi Gras. One of the best jukes in town with a song selection that serves the owner and his guests, not just the random bar hopper rolling through. Has TVs with sports, a couple of arcade games, booths for groups of 5 or so, and of course is a smoking bar.
