::We came here to deliver our first baby. Overall our experience at the hospital was very positive. The staff were all very helpful, attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. The room we stayed in was comfortable and the food was pretty good. We felt well taken care of and will certainly come back again if we have a second baby. They definitely tried their best to ensure baby and mom are off to a great start.

::Having to visit the ER the other night after days of not feeling well. Unfortunately you know how the wait can be when visiting the emergency room. I packed my phone charger and patience. I walked in and was taken care of right away, the waiting area was packed and they did their best to assess everyone in a appropriate time. Due to the nature of my visit, they made sure they did every single thing to ensure I would be in the best shape possible. Being in the medical field myself I knew there was certain things that needed to be done, they exceeded my expectations. I stayed there for SEVERAL hours, but I left with my mind at ease and felt confident in what the doctor and nurses said to me. Thank you to everyone from the front desk, to the techs, nurses and providers who gave care to me on Monday. They all played a important role in patient care to each and every person who walked through that door. I'm pleased and left Tuesday satisfied. Please don't make a decision based on the other reviews because every experience is different. I'm glad I took a chance, and will trust this place if the need comes again.

::So disappointing to be a Howard county resident and prefer to go to St Agnes in Baltimore fir better service. My son asked that I not bring him here but I did. He sat here for over 5 hours and has not seen a Dr yet. While I have been here I have witnessed 4 to 5 staff members asking for the same patient. The patient went back like 30 minutes before. They did this continuously throughout my time here. I told them if they stop calling the same names over and over maybe they could get to my son who had been here for 4.5 hours at that point. The staff is rude and condescending. The best thing about this place is the charging station.

::I should’ve known better than to go to Howard county community hospital today for stomach pain. This is the same hospital that I came to for Covid and they failed to tell me that I had Covid pneumonia… at that time they gave me cough syrup and sent me on my way. I had to continue treatment with my primary care physician. Oh but today took the cake… I was in the ER from 200am to 100 pm for stomach pains. They took my flood and had me sitting there as they called ppl that got there after me. A guy was puking in a bag for well over 2 hours. I still had not been seen at 700 am and I asked when I would get assistance the nurse at the desk seemed to have an attitude & rudely stated that there were no beds. I waited longer and was finally put in a room and I had to bring up my lab results to the the doctor since it didn’t appear as though she was going to go over the results with me. She completed an exam and only focused on one of my concerns. Told me I had to get an ultrasound and when the tech came to get me she said they were trying to find me. This is a poor example of a Johns Hopkins property/ affiliate hospital. I should have just waited to see a gastro doctor instead of spending all my time in the ER and not be taken seriously and prescribed ibuprofen as the end all be all. Also they should be sanitizing in between patients. At least attempt to spray the dirty chairs.

::We came to the ER because my wife had high fever and chills. They send me and my 4 yrs old out because we could not be with our patient. We had to go out to the parking lot at 3 am in cold weather. They took the vitals and then my wife had to sit there and wait for 5 hours before a doctor saw her. They kept us for two extra days in the hospital because someone didn’t do his/her job to order my wife’s medication. There is only one specialist in the whole hospital, so good luck when you need to be seen by a specialist. They pretend to follow the protocol but actually no body does, because the only protocol they follow is to make things harder for you like sending us out. In addition, there is trash and used mask all around the entrance of the hospital ( see the pictures). I am sure someone is getting paid for it out of taxpayer money. This is John Hopkins, so Howard county heath department needs to take notice. Too bad I can’t give less than one star. Very disappointing experience living is expensive place like Columbia. The only good experience we had was in the delivery and labor department and that’s because the nursing staff is comparatively good and above you have your own OBGYN. All the good reviews are about the labor and delivery department. Go somewhere else if you can, even an urgent care
