  The pharmacists here are top-notch! We all know prescriptions cost something, but it's typically a surprise that you only find out once you're already standing in front of the cast register. The pharmacists at this DR are the best I have ever met, because they understand this and will discuss alternatives (e.g. smaller sizes) with you rather than stating a number and waiting for you to simply pay up.

  This Duane Reade is ... well ... pretty much like every other Duane Reade. Ok so good luck. I have to go something else now.

  This is an outstanding store. I go to multiple Duane Reade's for just about everything and CVS when I want to avoid the not so great one in my neighborhood. I go out of my way for this one. The service in the pharmacy is truly the best you will find. The hair color and makeup advice was as good as Zitomer for a fraction of the cost. I have had a chronic illness for twenty years and the service from Agnes, the pharmacist was on par with one other I've seen in Twenty Years! She is incredibly smart, kind and professional and saved me with her astute advice when the doctor forgot to phone in a prescription and I discovered it on a Sunday. I've been helped by Greg many times during the week and he is always extremely pleasant and professional and I would count on his advice in a difficult situation. It does not get any better than this.
