::Came for the first time since the renovation. It's less cozy, ten times louder and they don't accommodate credit card tipping. So depressing. The staff are still the same wonderful folks, and the food is still probably decent enough, but it's just not a comfortable place to eat anymore. Stopped to speak with the owner on the way out and they said it was the first time they'd heard a complaint about the noise level.

::Nice new spot with the same great staff and owners as the one that was next door. You will always find a genuine welcome and a good meal here. John and Mark, the brothers who own the place, moved Cafe Luka from next door into the space that had housed their Fratelli restaurant, and gut-renovated for a clean, classic look. They still have the pizza and a few of the old Fratelli favorites, as well as the traditional Cafe Luka menu. I love the new, open, modern decor. They ran the original Cafe Luka for 20 years, and at the end it was still as clean at the day it opened. Running a spotless restaurant with friendly, reliable service and consistent food is an extraordinary feat, and these guys do it every day and make it look easy. That one or the other of the interesting, engaging and gregarious brothers seems always to be there, chatting with customers old and new, is likely one reason for the spot's consistency and success.

::Good diner in this neighborhood. Modern decor was clean and bright. Very kid friendly and fast service. The food was excellent.

::I really really really really really want to go there again. It's one of my favorite places to eat. I also really like their eggs and bacon. The whole staff always is very nice (posted by my 6 year old nephew)
