The rooms are really cute and the staff is nice and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again. My shower had insanely high water pressure, but the head was fairly low.

Hotel is wesome. The staff is very polite. High level of customer service. We had a 15 passenger van so parking was an issue but other than that it is great

Room was clean and beds were comfortable. More like a hotel room. Great location close to everything. Community wash room needs some attention, dryers are not working properly and washing machine drains were plugged. Recommend ear plugs lots of city noise as it is in the heart of the city

I am a owner and have stayed here many times. Love the location as it is in Nob Hill and a block away from the Dragon Gates of Chinatown and several blocks from Union Square. As for the rooms, it has been renovated several years and its pretty nice. There are some intersting quirks such as walled window A/C-Heater and the plumbing is something they can do better. I understand that its a early 1900s hotel and respect that they try to keep that feel.

The location is rather convenient and most staff members were very warm and helpful. Those are the reasons for the stars. The reason for not giving more stars is bed bugs. Yes, our room had bed bugs and I got nasty bites. I even saw a bed bug although at the time I did not know what it was since I have never encountered one before. The little red dots swell up after I got home and I realized I got bitten by bed bugs when I got online to research and compare bite marks and bug pictures. Then I tossed everything in the washer, and wiped down everything with rubbing alcohol. Just praying that they did not come home with us. I did call the place to report the incident and ask them not to let anyone else stay in that room before getting rid of the bugs. Have not heard anything back from management.
