The staff is friendly, the location is good access to the freeway is less than a minute to get to just about any place or event in phoenix. The rooms are clean and spacious making your visit really comfortable and happy. The price is very affordable. The pool is a good size and very clear clean and refreshing. I love this place and i am a repeat customer and plan to keep it that way. Very happy with the experience here.

The rooms were clean but the grounds, hallway and llaundry room were dirty and out of order. There were people fighting in rooms and outside, there were " working girls" roaming the halls and entering several different rooms throughout the night. There were upscale cars in the parking lot though that were never bothered. My car was never bothered either. There were all sorts of people roaming the parking lot throughout the night. Things exchanged between them. The pool area was inside a courtyard and the vegetation there was in various stages of life. The pool didn't appear very clean but there were people swimming. The lobby area was sort of shabby but the staff was pleasant and accommodating. I wouldn't leave this place on foot after dark to walk to the nearby convenience stores or restaurants. The Denny's across the street had a great cook.

I'm sure it was new and nice at one time. This place does not looks like on the pictures of the website. It needs a lot a lot of maintenance. Is outdated is like going in time back to a not so nice place. On the other hand people that work there are very attentive and costumer service is excellent. I will recommend you bring your own blankets towels pillows and flip flop to go in the shower. Don't forget the bug spray.

I would like to inform you that Vacation Inn in Phoenix Arizona should not be an option on travel booking websites. It is the most disgusting, scary and smelly motel I have ever encountered. Last minute booking, we were in a bind. Should have planned ahead and read all of the horrible reviews. My mistake. The lobby is dirty with horribly dirty furniture, let that be your first impression and get out before you put money down or sign anything if you planned to stay. Unfortunately for us, I knew right then I did not want to stay, but we had no where else to go so we were stuck there until we could get the heck out of there in the morning. Horrible place. Unsecured entrance as we came in the back entrance to get to our room. A rock was shoved in the doorway. Plenty of shady people milling around in the parking lot, outside and in the hallways. God awful smell. Urine and the smell of drugs. The room was dirty. I had a headache from what I believe was crack being smoked nearby. The smell was pretty much unbearable. Shame on these websites to even suggest such a disgusting option for travelers. The city of Phoenix should close it down. I got no sleep and would never shower there. Be better off sleeping in the vehicle. Zero stars, but Google won't allow that so they get 1. Yuck.

Bugs and black mold. Torn shower curtains. One flat pillow per guest. Cannot open patio door to get air. Smells weird. The front desk said they would look for another pillow, but not to expect one. The spa was slimy and like warm. Think the hair dryer and iron were stolen. Paper thin walls so you get startled awake by yelling and slamming doors. Just no!
