  There for a wedding. Outstanding in all aspects. Food, service, atmosphere. Topped off by the spectacular view of the White House.

  Stayed here for 2 nights after getting engaged in DC. It was a great experience from the moment we checked in, with helpful and attentive staff, genuinely interested in your wellbeing. We even got a tasty engagement gift when we got to our room! Would recommend for anyone celebrating a special occasion in DC.

  I really enjoyed this place! We went down to the bar in the basement - Off The Record - and it had such a cool vibe. It’s completely decorated in caricatures of presidents and has a very unique vibe. Right across from the White House you really feel like you’re a part of history there. Also fun fact- the Hay Adams is called the Hay Adams because they tore down the homes of the Hay and Adams (John Adams and John Quincy Adams descendants) homes to make the hotel.

  The wait staff and hostess were amazing. The overall service and quality of food was great as well. The hostess was kind enough to play along with my proposal plans and helped setup the surprise. I proposed to my now fiance on the top level of the hotel on the balcony of one of their ballrooms that overlooks the Whitehouse and National Monument. Overall a wonderful experience 10/10 would visit The Hay-Adams again.
