  We make a Strosniders run most weekends. It has most everything we need from a hardware store. The staff are knowledgeable and pleasant. The prices can be high, but we strategically use the dollars off and discount coupons we seem to receive every other week, which takes out some of the sting.

  A local institution! I’ve only been in the neighborhood about a year but every time I’ve gone in there the staff has been kind and helpful. One particular day a few months ago, myself and a colleague were sent on a mission to find an indoor self-supported flagpole, so we came to Strosnider’s. While they did not have exactly what we were looking for (and neither did any other stores anywhere near us), the staff here listened carefully to what we were trying to achieve and helped us find supplies to construct makeshift flagpoles using some very ingenious tactics! We were in there for maybe an hour or more trying to solve this puzzle, and the entire time never felt rushed or unwelcome. Eliana and James in particular stuck with us the whole time and made sure we walked out of there with a solution that would meet our needs so we wouldn’t have to go back to work empty-handed. (If you were wondering, the winning solution involved some bolts, extra-long screws, and a wheelbarrow wheel. MacGyver’d like a champ!)

  I always find great service at the Bethesda Strosnider's. There's always an employee nearby asking if I need help finding something, or answering any questions that I might have. The whole shopping center area gets really busy on weekends, so I usually try to go during off-peak hours.

  Great local hardware store. They have the best service in town. My only negative is that is is more expensive then the big box stores.
