I went with some family, so my time here could have just been good company. While there we did have a few drinks and definitely enjoyed ourselves. What I do remember, pre drinks, is a cozy and comfortable lounge, which kind of reminds me of this old school poetry shot called the Java house on Lake. They also had the upstairs, which is where we were seated, amongst other guests. The service must have been acceptable, because nothing sticks out, to say otherwise, and i ended up leaving my credit card, which is always a good sign of a good night. I will definitely return to this place unfortunately, I can't assure that the review would be any more clearer, especially if they do as good a job as I can remember them doing last night.

Had a Dave kick me out for nothing. Said he had to talk me outside and just said i was escorted out. When i asked what the reason was, he said he didn't need a reason and said i wasn't welcomed back. I will not return thanks to his hospitality.

Reliable oasis of red-lit darkness in the middle of downtown Oakland, open every day. Great selection of gins.

Well-dressed hole-in-the-wall with good selection of liquor. Average pricing. Room upstairs in the loft. Check it out on your next happy hour or night out

Real cheap old fashions and nice bartender. Sultry japanese jazz bar vibe. DJ was spinning ultra dance-able 90's and early aughts hip-hop. We walked over to DJ area and danced a little before noticing a sign saying "Dancing Prohibited." To be fair no one yelled at us, but it definitely killed the vibe and we did stop dancing and left. Felt like a bait and switch to play that kind of music in front of a dance floor if dancing isn't allowed.
