  I love the fact that this gym has all the Joe Pilates equipment--the reformers and everything that Pilates himself developed. It is truly pure. That is an asset because a lot of Pilates instructors i have found are not fully trained in all the technique. The problem is that the movement is not demonstrated; it is explained so instead of being able to lose yourself in the movement, it becomes too detailed, overly specific, and overly analyzed. I liked it at times, but my enthusiasm began to fade. Also, it is exorbitant!!!! Really expensive. So unless you are making six figures, do not even think about it. It is like $85 per class and to make it really effective, unless you are doing something else to work out, you really need at least two classes a week. Extraordinarly expensive, though it is individualized instruction. Only for the rich and the deeply committed advanced student. Not for beginners.
