Wish the museum was bigger but I loved the exhibits they did have. Really nice space though.

Underrated museum. They have some consistently good rotating exhibits in two rooms. There are also some exhibits that are always there. The staff is friendly and their gift shop doubles as a genealogy room where folks can research their ancestry.

A small but very nice, informative Museum. A visit here is a great way to find out about the history of Black people in the Pacific Northwest. I was impressed by the inclusion of so many stories of Black life in the Northwest both by folks born here and by those who immigrated here. I was also impressed with the programming offered such as talks and workshops. This gem of a museum is definitely worth of visit.

I recently visited and saw a fabulous exhibit that left me thinking about displacement. And also feeling like I had found a community, my community that is so oppressed. However, we are here, thriving more and more. I think we will one day take the Central District back.

This and the Wing Luke are my two favorite museums in Seattle. It's always got exhibits that are interesting and important to me. They have a good rotation and plenty of events with good speakers. Of course they do an excellent job of highlighting African American voices. And it's the most affordable of all the Seattle museums, I think admission is $4 and memberships are similar. Keep doing what you're doing NAAM!
