  Had a very helpful visit with Lee, who had to use a little ingenuity in installing a new lock on a sliding glass door. He was courteous, quick, professional and able to adjust to needs on the spot.

  A lock on one of my outside doors wouldn't lock, and I called Mr. Locksmith on 3/1/18 to have it fixed or replaced. Although I emphasized that it was not an emergency, they were able to send a technician the same day. I asked how much it would cost, and was told it would be $29 for the call, and the cost for the work could only be determined later, which seemed reasonable. The technician, Richard, was pleasant and professional. He told me it was a complex, 3-point lock with a deadbolt, but it could be repaired, and he did repair it, which took approximately 30-40 minutes from start to finish. He then said he needed to text details to the office to find out what the price would be. After doing so, he told me the charge would be $449 plus the $29, for a total of $478. I was shocked at the price, but since the work had already been done, I paid it. When I noted how short a time it had taken, he told me locksmiths are not paid by the hour, because it is a skilled trade. I found this odd, because my experience with skilled repairmen in the past has been that they charge by the hour. In short, I think the price was really, really excessive, and I feel taken advantage of. I was initially happy with the work, but in the couple of weeks since then the door handle has drooped to the point where, unless it is locked, the door can be pushed open without touching the handle -- one of the initial problems that caused me to call the locksmith. I am very disappointed. UPDATE: When Leo at Mr. Locksmith saw my review, he contacted me to say that there had been a misunderstanding, and that he wanted to correct it because he did not want me to be an unsatisfied customer. We agreed on a refund of half the amount I had paid, and he has mailed me a check for that amount. I also found a way to keep the lever handle from flopping down.

  We had an excellent experience with Ron today. He was extremely quick and efficient. He came to our house less than one hour after we called him and worked very effectively. He had all the spare parts with him and completed the job within twenty minutes. The price was good and he installed quality materials. We highly recommend him to anyone who wants a quick and efficient service.

  Lee (from the Silver Spring Mr. Locksmith) was the utmost in professionalism and customer service! I needed him to arrive at 8AM due to an appointment I had to keep. He called at 7:40AM to tell me he was on his way, he arrived at 7:50 and called to tell me he had arrived. He quickly and expertly fixed my lock and educated me on how to extend the lifespan of my lock. He asked if I had any questions and had completed his work and was on his way in 20 minutes! A great experience! I highly recommend Lee in particular and this company in general!
