Very nice and clean hotel. The lobby was decorated well and our rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The staff at the front desk was helpful and friendly. I used the fitness room and all of the equipment was updated and organized, but they do keep the room pretty warm. Overall, I really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

All the staff was extremely helpful with suggestions and logistics. We were able to visit all local attractions by either public transportation or walking. It has a great boutique grocery store across the street with some ready to go excellent meals. We actually ate in seve

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Hot breakfast. Friendly staff. In walking distance of the River Walk and Alamo. I would stay again and recommend to my friends.

If you would have told me that this fresh newly revamped hotel was going to get a two star rating from me when I walked in I would have told you that you were crazy. The hotel was clean, the rooms were modern, the space was great. The price was outrageous but it was Spring Break and I wouldn't have even batted an eye at the almost $300 price tag for one night if not for what happened next. We did little more than sleep a this hotel, or I should say, we did little more than *try* and sleep at the hotel. During the over night hours there was major road construction going on directly in front of the hotel. It started just after dinner and continued until almost dawn. There was JACK HAMMERING for hours overnight. JACK HAMMERING! Morning arrives and the construction vehicles move out and blurry eyed we attempt to get downstairs. My husband and I had to separate with the kids. He took the older kid and the luggage and took the stairs with two huge suitcases. I kept the stroller and we waited for the elevator. I waited through the elevator heading downstairs six times. Four at one side of the building, two at the other, where we could not fit on the elevator because it was already crammed full and SO SLOW. Finally, I snagged the elevator going up knowing that by the time it got back to the third floor there would be no room and I was right! Rode up, then down, and proceeded to the desk to checkout. Apparently, this hotel hasn't heard of any type of rapid checkout. There was a line four people deep to checkout, and there were several issues and only one person at the desk. Finally, when it was our turn the lady manning the front desk asks how our stay was. I started with the pros, just as I did here, and then brought up the construction (she laughed! I guess it was funny! ), the elevators, and the lack of rapid checkout (she SMIRKED and asked me to explain what it was. Then she laughed, and said, "Yeah, we stopped doing that.") Now, you can rationalize that the hotel had no control over the construction. I would have, but I travel often and have always been told in advance of construction. If not for the horrid response by the lady at the desk I'd have given this place 3-4 stars.

Very nice place. Staff is super friendly. Property is clean and pleasant. The elevator sucks. There is only one and it is slow. The rooms are large and well appointed. AC was a little slow. Breakfast was as advertised. All around great place except single elevator sadness
