It was nice. The hotel is large with many rooms, with options for connected rooms. Some of the view is nice, but some has the Dole loading area directly underneath. They have cable and a large TV in each room, and it all works well. The outlets on the large lamps are loose though, so they don't charge well.

Make sure when you book the reservation that you are getting the room you are expecting. The rooms online say Port Coronado/Bridge view and you will actually be looking at Dole which consists of warehouses and 18 wheelers with a view of the top of the bridge. I came from TEXAS and this RUINED my trip. On top of that, they don't care that they falsely advertise-and they WILL NOT negotiate unless you pay more (on top of the crazy high rate). In fact, the lady at the front desk told me you have to turn your head a certain way to see the water and at check in said its "dole packing/ Coronado bridge view". It makes no mention of that online. This is more of a convention hotel and IMO if you are in the city for pleasure, there are better options.

Was there for a conference. Can't comment on all the amenities but it was a great environment to meet professionals in a social setting. Close to gaslamp, many options for food and drink at the hotel itself, our company did have a suite close to the top and view was amazing. Also nice to walk by the bay front.

Great location. Right off of the water. Beautiful views in every room. It's within 2 min walk of the baseball stadium. San Diego is a very walkable city but there is access to the trolley within a minute walk. This is probably the best hotel location in the area. Definitely recommend staying here.

When staying for work, I judge hotels on: Cleanliness 4 (older property so hard to keep clean) Internet speed. 4 Shower Pressure/Hot Water 4 Gym Size n/a 1 is awful, 3 is good, and 5 is extraordinary. N/a means I did not use. **4 stars is everything on par, and I reserve 5 stars for something extraordinary that happened during my stay.
