::This is the first review I've ever written. So, apparently this place is good. The lady getting her mani/pedi next to me had a great experience, she tipped and left happy. On the other hand, I did not share in her experience. My pedi was good; however. The lady that did my SNS nails was very rude to me. I don't know if she was in a bad mood or what, but she was not kind towards me. On top of that, my nails did not come out even. I told her I like them square and she rounded out the edges, so some are square-ish and some have uneven rounded edges. Just be sure to go 2 hours before they are closing or else you'll feel that the whole process is being rushed. And, unfortunately I did not get her name, but she probably looked the most "american" from the rest, had lighter hair and bangs.

::Good color selection. The ladies are friendly. Peak time on weekdays is during lunch hours and 3-5 can get pretty busy, too. Nice location to grab a drink/bite if the wait is too long. Tipping is cash only, fyi.

::This salon is located in Chinatown . this salon is not associated with the Golden Nails that is located in Penn Quarter. I asked a technician one day and she explained that they have the same name but are not the same business. Anyhow, this salon is perfect for you if you want to get a quick mani and pedi which costs $40 dollars. If you want a gel manicure it is $60 for both a gel mani and regular pedi. It isn’t a bad deal when considering the prices of other DC nail salons. Angel and Nancy are great! All the employees are friendly. However, if you care a great deal about how your nail salon space looks or you are pretentious about the décor and feel of your nail salon then this is not the place for you. They currently do not use the spa pedicure liners which may raise concern about sanitary issues. If it is a huge deal for you buy some and then bring them so they can use them. The look of salon is older. It could be upgraded but it isn’t inhibiting. The space is very clean but it does need to be updated as some point in the future if they want to compete with surrounding area salons.
