Enterprise Rent-A-Car in El Paso

  I had an awful experience with Enterprise Rent-a-Car at the El Paso International Airport. I reserved a vehicle through Hotwire and Enterprise was spit out as the rental car company. I arrived at the airport and was told that my weekend rental did NOT include unlimited miles! Every rental car company I have ever used with multiple reservations through Hotwire offers unlimited miles! But obviously not Enterprise. I was told the fee would be $40 per day which made my use of the rental cost prohibitive. I told the attendant to "cancel" my reservation and I walked away under the impression the charge would be credited back to my credit card. Fat chance. Four days later there has been no reversal of the charge. I called Hotwire which of course sticks to its rule that all sales are final. I attempted to call the Enterprise rental office to talk with the manager but no one answers the phone. Hotwire should not contract with companies that do not offer comparable benefits to customers. This would be like reserving a hotel and being told there were additional fees upon check-in. I will never use Hotwire again and will avoid Enterprise Rent-a-Car like the plague.

  Rented a compact in El Paso and returned in Albuquerque at a very competitive rate with good service in El Paso. Returned before the office opened in ABQ so dropped the key in the key drop. Noticed the bottom door to the key drop had been left open. Not very good security for the cars but apparently no problems resulted. Got my receipt on line with no problem.

  The check out was quick and easy. They had my car ready, but did offer me an upgrade. The staff was great also. I would highly recommend using them

  I arrived to pick up the vehicle and a walk through was not done, when I went to eat later i realized there was a scrape on the front fender tried to get in contact with the location but no one answered so I called the corporate office and they put the information in the notes. When I went to drop off the car I had to fill out a claim report. Just make sure at this location you do a walk through before you take off.

  First vehicle I picked up was a base SUV. Staff had it ready for me, and I had zero issues with getting into it. However, the cleanliness of the vehicle was an issue as it appeared that someone spent maybe 30 seconds wiping it down with a soaking wet sponge. There were sticky portions on the center stack, and what appeared to be a blood stain on the headliner. I didn't notice any of this until I got out in the sunlight and drove back immediately. Once there the staff apologized and set me up in a new and higher tier rental as compensation for the first vehicle. This should have been the end of the review here, but the second vehicle looked like it had been cleaned in a similar manner to the first. There was thick dust on some portions of the dash, and again residue of whatever cleaner they used on the center stack. I am disappointed more than anything when it comes to their vehicles at the El Paso Airport. I've rented from this company before and was always happy with the amount of work that went in to each one when I picked it up, whether it was a base rental or a more expensive one. Take pride in your work down there folks.
