I reached out to the consulate to get some paperwork signed and notarized for a succession. The consulate had 2 weeks to get the documents signed but forced us to reschedule because they were not able to get the documents prepared (printed) on time. They said that if I wanted to stick to our scheduled signature, I could always fly back to France to sign in person! The staff was not particularly friendly and I got charged $450 to get just a few pages signed and notarized. Really expensive and just not a great experience overall.

Bonjour ! I was at the French Consulate of Miami this morning for the application to renew my son's passport. My overall experience was very good, Caroline PERTWEE received us on time, she was nice, very professional, effective and funny !!

Top notch in & out service - a la Gauloise. Needed documents notarized for french matters and came to the consulate to process all without a hitch. Now, if only it weren't 500 miles away...

My mother had to get a Schengen Visa for our Europe trip. Although it stated on my mom's appointment that only the person with appointment would be allowed into the consulate, the security guard was nice enough to let me go in with her as interpreter because my mother was not so fluent in English. Overall process was smooth and the staff reviewing her application was extremely helpful. Also, their processing time is super fast. We were there last Friday and we received the passport with the visa via mail on Thursday.
