  Great food, atmosphere and salad bar. It was clean, not crowded and worth every cent. Husband and I had a great time

  Very good food. Hostess seemed a little confused for some reason but that's picking. Crab cakes are tasty with perfect texture and without a doubt, get the calamari...WOW. Our waitress was super cool and and hit all the marks. Yes, this place is considered pricey but you get what you pay for.

  Chart House Jacksonville is an excellent, though pricey, restaurant with beautiful views of the St John's River. Everything we have had here is excellent. I particularly enjoy the seafood items. The salad bar is fantastic and features s huge variety of items. The desserts are all good. I recommend the chocolate lava cake, but be warned it takes about 30 minutes so plan ahead if time is an issue. The building itself is amazing. It is located directly on the river and provides nice views through the floor to ceiling windows. The building is very interesting as it is all curves and has a beautiful wood ceiling. I have added a couple pictures to show the building.

  My husband and I dined at the Chart House last night. My reviews are mixed. The restaurant is physically located in downtown Jacksonville, Florida overlooking the river. So , it was a pleasant surprise to find that they offer free valet parking. This was a real plus. The restaurant itself has a very pleasant atmosphere and decor. We had a 5:00 p.m. reservation and arrived 15 minutes early, but we were seated immediately at a window table. The service was excellent. Our waiter Vance was the best. He took very good care of us. Very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and food choices. If I returned to the restaurant, the decision to return would be greatly influenced by the service we received from Vance and other employees. I have to say, I was not that impressed with the food in relation to the price. I felt they were a little to pricey compared to food quality. I'm going to rate the food as just okay. I ordered a sampler of soups for $8.50. So, I had an opportunity to sample the lobster bisque and the clam chowder, both were very good, although I didn't feel the soup was hot enough. I ordered the shrimp pasta for $29 as my main entree. My review is "iffy" . It had 6 large grilled tiger shrimp, which were very good. However the pasta portion was not warm enough and as a result the butter in the sauce congealed before I could eat very much of it and I ended up eating just the shrimp and very little of the pasta. I would not recommend the pasta, it was not very good. I did not complain. If I had voiced my dissatisfaction, I am sure the manager would have remedied the situation. My husband ordered the 10 oz. Prime rib as his main entree. He ordered it medium rare. It was a little to done, so he sent it back. They were more than willing to bring him another steak, cooked to his satisfaction, personally brought over by the manager who apologized. My husband said his steak was excellent. I tasted it and I concur. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and I would probably go back for the service and atmosphere.

  The food is pretty good here and so is the service. The dishes are fresh and the quality of the ingredients as good as well. I ordered the corn, spinach gnocchi, grilled shrimp and scallops for $38. And it was worth every penny. The spinach gnocchi was made from scratch and was so soft and creamy. My dish definitely could have had a few more pieces of it. The shrimp and the scallops were grilled perfectly. My husband order the prime rib (Callahan Cut - 18 oz) for $41.50 with mashed potatoes. He seemed to enjoy it. The salad bar runs about $18 if you're not purchasing anything else but can be purchased for an additional $10 if you have purchased an entree. The salad bar had so many options and some of my favorite things to eat on salad. They also have pre-made salads with various fresh ingredients for example: pasta salads. You could also ask the chef to make salads in the back and have them brought to the table. The dressings were homemade which is always a plus. They even had anchovy and caviar. I did order the crab, mango, avocado stack as an appetizer, which had a few hard pieces in it that I could not detect exactly what it was and it wasn't nearly as flavorful as expected. I've had this several places and I've never had the blue crab presented as some type of crab salad on the top. It also didn't have very much of the lump meat which was disappointing. I also had the steam oysters which were just okay. It wasn't the best nor was it the worst. The presentation of all the other dishes were great but the oysters were a little messy. The interior as well as the views of the water is were great.
