  It was a very nice meal and experience. The food was all very well prepared- the steak was a good cut and cooked right to order, and the lobster prepared nicely too (surf and turf). It's clearly an experienced steakhouse. And yet I have trouble giving 5 stars because nothing really stood out or blew me away. Given the price of everything, I'm not rushing back. No draft beers and limited (and very overpriced) bar too.

  Extremely disappointed with the service particularly. Our waiter could barely speak English, which I can deal with, however he was borderline abusive, with his no personality and the way he answered our questions. Very rude and abrupt. I don't know what it is but I notice more and more when you go to these "high end" steakhouses they almost think they YOU owe THEM something.Steak was no better than other places for comparable or even less money. ... Insignia blows this place away, service, ambiance and food. I have to say I have heard great things about Vintage, however I had tentative reservations to take other business associates and spend good money, however I do not think I will be back.

  Great place to dine. The food is amongst the best in long island. The service is good. I had oysters Rockefeller followed by a rare veal chop that was delicious. A truly delighrful evening.

  We went to Vintage on 12/21 for a business/holiday dinner. We were seated promptly but our table of 8 was given two round tables put together. Not ideal, and there was another large party that looked to have all the square/rectangular tables, but doable. Our party straggled in and the waiter was right on each new arrival. When everyone was seated, we ordered appetizers and our entrees and here's where the stars are lost. Our appetizers took a very long time to come out. The larger party at the rectangular tables arrived after our entire party was settled and they got food way before our appetizers came out. The waiter was still all over the drinks at our table but if there was a delay, he should've also relayed that to us. Minus one star. Once our appetizers came out they were very good and we had a good variety to try. French Onion Soup, crab, clams, scallops and oysters were all delicious. Our entrees arrived promptly and I had the NY Strip (pictured) - I ordered it well done and it was delicious. At $48 bucks, I think it was a bit overpriced. Minus 1 star but it was good nonetheless. The sides were delicious - I had the corn and the mashed. My friends raved about the cream spinach and asparagus. Our waiter was very attentive throughout dinner and was on point with both refills and clearing plates and wrapping food to go. We had some desserts that were unremarkable, chocolate cake, creme brulee, peanut butter something or other. As I said, unremarkable. Coffee was good and arrived quick and hot. Overall, I had a good meal with great friends and had an enjoyable evening. I do think, for the price, that there are better options.
