::While you are probably better off shopping at a Verizon Corporate store, we had a good experience purchasing a new phone for my wife from the GoWireless Verizon Authorized dealer at the Palisades Mall in March. We had a very, very sharp saleswoman. I forget her name. She knew her stuff and was helpful and honest, except for one thing: She did try to use some sleight-of-hand sales tactics to get us to sign up for their GoAdvantage program (around $125, if I recall). It wasn't egregious. But she basically slipped it onto our bill after we negotiated the price for the phone, and made it seem like we HAD to get GoAdvantage, like, actually had to. When we pushed back a little she changed tact slightly to pitch it like - while we don't technically have to buy the service, we'd be CRAZY NOT TO get GoAdvantage because we'll save money in the long run, though she was fuzzy on how exactly we would save money. We passed. If I wasn't there my wife may have bought GoAdvantage, because the saleswoman did peddle it fairly hard and slick. That said: Our saleswoman was great about everything else and remained totally cool, patient, and helpful even after we passed on GoAdvantage. She actually convinced my wife to buy a cheaper phone than the one my wife initially wanted, and explained why we should get the cheaper phone (which my wife has quite been happy with). I also felt for the saleswoman - she was clearly very skilled, smart and professional. I suspect that getting customers to sign up for GoAdvantage probably determines how much she gets paid on each deal. It's probably important to her compensation. So I'm assuming she had some incentives to play a little coy about getting us to purchase that service. And she was so deft at selling it to us that I was actually quite impressed. I appreciate people that are good at their jobs. Honestly: If I could have I would have floated her $25- $50 extra rather than sign up for the program. She deserved it. I felt bad for her because she clearly lost a bit of steam after we passed on GoAdvantage. She works really hard. But straight up: If you are going to purchase from this dealer be educated going into the process. It looks like a Verizon Corporate store but isn't. It's an Authorized Retailer that seems to rely on signing people up for an extra, unnecessary service to make its bread-and-butter. And even their seemingly excellent salespeople may take advantage of your ignorance to peddle this service to you. I actually was ignorant about this store's true nature up until the point the saleswoman tried to push GoAdvantage on us. I had read something on the internet that had indicated it was a Corporate Store before our visit so I walked in assuming it was a Corporate Store. It looks just like a Corporate Store, and they don't go out of their way to tell you that it's not, even though, to be fair, it does have a little sign - a tiny little sign - out front saying GoWireless on it and the salespeople are wearing GoWireless uniforms. I didn't notice any of that initially. It wasn't until she started talking this GoAdvantage thing that I started searching Google and then the lightbulb went off. Once I sorted out what was going on I nudged my wife to pass on GoAdvantage. Anyway: they act like its a Verizon store when it isn't. So don't go into it thinking you are shopping at Verizon. Also, part of the downside of our experience was clearly my fault. Had I gone into the store properly educated I would not have been caught off guard. And who knows. Maybe GoAdvantage is the bomb and we were fools for passing on it. But I do know this: That saleswoman belongs on Wall Street. Her talents are wasted at GoWireless. Really sharp kid.

::My visit to GoWireless in the Palisades was super great ! The associate Cristo helped me out a great deal. I went from being on a family plan- to switching to my own plan thanks to him. He was very friendly, He understood what i wanted, he was very meticulous from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend this store and advise everyone to ask to speak with Cristo, as he offered great customer service skills and was a huge help, I am sure he can help others just as well as he helped me out. Thanks again :)
