  A couple of weekends ago, I was riding the Metro in to the National Mall for the kite festival. My 4 year old daughter could not wait to use the bathroom. Thankfully, when we got off at the Shaw-Howard U stop Uprising was there. We ran in, ladies room was occupied but we were told right away that she could use the employee's bathroom. Thanks for saving the day... without hassling us about buying anything. That's how customer service works!

  Very convenient to metro station. Purchased coffee & cream cheese muffin. Service was prompt, staff very friendly, value was on par. Enjoyed reading the quotes, nice touch . I will visit again when on the area. Keep up the quality !

  These muffins are out of this world!!!!! They are insanely delicious and priced right!!! I’m here for a total of 5 days and I have been there every morning for the past 4 days. I’m sad to be leaving DC tomorrow but I will be at Uprising Muffin at 7am to get a dozen muffins to take home to my family so they too can taste the deliciousness in DC. So glad to find this gem the 1st day here.

  During my morning commute, this is a welcomed stop. I love their cranberry orange muffins! Warm and friendly staff, and quick service.

  This is one of my favorite locally owned spots. The muffins are delicious. They have a large variety of muffins available every morning. Some muffins flavors are available daily, others are "flavors of the month" and only around a short time. The staff is friendly and efficient. Plus, the drinks are good as well. The chai tea latte is my favorite. The atmosphere is upbeat and there is space available to work or meet up with someone.
