The owner of the restaurant was so kind, and the food and whole ambience are just heart warming.

Food was excellent; however, extremely disappointed in the service. When my father brought a bottle of wine, expecting to pay the corkage fee, the owner approached us and yelled at us. She said how dare we bring our own bottle of wine when she sold wine at her restaurant. My father calmly said he would purchase a bottle of wine at the restaurant and pay corkage for his. Excuse me, but I’ve had no problem at much nicer restaurants with bringing in a bottle of wine. We were at Commander’s Palace the other night and had no problem. This is no way to run a restaurant and speaks highly of the owner.

Very good. Art filled dining room. Classic dishes. Good cocktails. Great staff and host. Very pleasant dining experience.

The Upperline is my favorite New Orleans restaurant and has been for years. We are going down for a long weekend mid March with our daughter who has been accepted to Tulane's honors program and we are already looking forward to it. The service is superb as is the food. I expect I will run into the same waiters I last saw several years ago. 2 of my daughters have been there within and have have confirmed my recommendation. And I am bringing with me an addition to the proprietor's art collection from a Polish artist who dined there with me 10 years ago.

Upperline is the real deal. Great regional food done right, perfect service, beautiful artwork, and a wonderful owner with charming, heartening stories. The whole experience demonstrates her conviction that restaurants play a critical role in our social fabric. Eat here and be reminded of the importance of sharing a meal with others.
