::The lines are often very long, but the staff is generally friendly and it's a convenient location for me.

::Excellent Experience! Professional, Friendly & Knowledgeable. The building is Phenomenal, Historic & Well Maintained. For the billions of pieces of mail that USPS receives & delivers daily I am always astounded that those I send out & receive find their way!! Always a fan of USPS over the other options!

::2018. Still losing packages. Even when it has tracking and full insurance. So disappointed. Itโs not hard. I work in one similar.

::The United States Post Office's central downtown location has the distinguished honour of being selected as one of San Diego's "historical building sites." This post office was built during the administration of Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1936. The inside is incredibly beautiful - it has a "museum style grandeur" - as the artisans of that bygone era; through adept creativity and painstaking craftsmanship, used concrete, granite, marble and other eloquent stonework to create a structure that has both an interior and an exterior that would now be considered a renowned illustration of the American artwork of a bygone era. Upon stepping inside, I was transported into a past world when America was still steeped within it's ''industrial revolution"; a haunting visualization that was so incredible, that I was literally astounded ...and for a moment, I shed tears of joy. Even the P.O.Boxes looked to be made of pure brass. I stepped into the world of Norman Rockwell, my favourite American artist. The clerks were all very friendly and customer service oriented. In fact, on one of the days that I walked in, they were temporarily out of prestamped envelopes however, the clerk who helped me easily rectified the problem, using a plain envelope and a stamp. One was wearing one of those "old fashioned" postal hats which really set a "period scenario." I don't know what it is about me. I'm always dreaming of stepping into a time machine and either pulling the lever backwards or - more often - pushing it so far forward, that when it finally comes to a stop...I've travelled thousands of years into our future : I find myself on a distant alien planet: light years from the earth that I thought that I once knew...
