  This review relates to the usps international postal service rather than this location specifically. Shipping to Africa was to take 3-5 days but using the tracking number I saw it went to several locations in CA, then Chicago, then New York, but it took days between each location and three weeks sines shipping it hasn’t reached the destination.

  RENU at the passport service counter. CHECK YOUR ATTITUDE. I really try to not write bad reviews or waste my time over it because there really is not enough time in my day for all of that. However, I genuinely felt disrespected by Renu. I've been coming to this US post office all my life and I've never had such a negative experience where I felt the need to write about it. After reading multiple negative reviews on here regarding the horrible service by the passport service staff, it really validates my frustration I had towards Renu. I went in for a passport renewal. I was unable to make an appointment online since it said the next availability was in March? Anyway, a friend who use to work for the US post office told me that I could walk-in but there would be a wait. I went in and there were two customers before me. Renu at the counter asked if I had an appointment. I said no and she said there will be a wait. No problem, that is totally understandable. So I waited patiently while she helped the customers before me. When she was done with the first customer that was in line, she then called me up and asked what service I was looking for. I looked at the girl who was before me and said she can get helped first since she was before me but Renu insisted I go first. I proceeded and told her that I would like to renew my passport. AND HERE IS WHERE THE STORY GETS JUICY YALL. She informed me of the pricing for routine and expedite service and then proceed to throw different pricing at me. She word vomited all over me and I simply asked for clarification that if I wanted expedite is it $190? She rolled her eyes and shook her head and said "no $190 is to the passport service and then it's $217 for you to send it through us". HER EXACT WORDS. SO I was quite confused on what she meant. So I said "sorry I do not really understand" and here is where it went bad. She grabbed my paperwork and said "you don't need me" and then gave me a US postal service envelope. She said put everything in here and give it to the counter next to me. So I took the envelope and attempt to fill it out. It asked for the shipping location in which I did not know the address to the Passport Renewal Office in Philadelphia! I went back to Renu's counter and asked her what I should put the address as? She said "your address". By that point, I was very annoyed with her impatience. I sternly said to her, no the address to the passport renewal office in which she then handed me a paper with a checklist with the shipping address. Lastly, I had to attach my photo to the application and I asked her if she can help me staple it on. She said "No you're suppose to do this". I was honestly about to walk out and just go to another post office but she grabbed my paperwork and stapled the picture to it. Some people just don't think before they speak huh? While she was charging me, she said "I can't help you if you give me attitude. You don't have an appointment and I am still helping you". I genuinely respect all people in the service industry. I've been there and done that but if you disrespect me and claim I gave you an attitude when I have been nothing but patient with you, I have no problem telling you off in front of other customers. I was fine with waiting in line and allowing those who were before me to go first. Renu insisted that I head to the counter before the other customers.I specifically said "Ma'am I did not give you attitude. When I asked for clarification, you rolled your eyes and shook your head at me. I asked for help and you returned with attitude. If you don't want to help me say it rather than make these comments and angrily do your job". She then said "I don't have time for this" and I said "Neither do I". Renu. Check yourself. You'll age better if you're less problematic.

  Great staff: Tiffany was really great. I had to ship international and she was really nice and helped me.

  I know this place get's a lot of slack, but out of the three times I've dropped off something, I've always had it updated by the end of the day with no issues! Lines are sometimes long, but that's to be expected

  The location listed online for the Berkeley Main post office has been closed long ago; the opening and mail pickup times at all Berkeley post offices are pitiful. Definitely NOT USER-FRIENDLY.
