  If i could give them a half star... Bad experience with this hospital, staffing is not very attentive.

  Worst hospital experience felt so sick going in they took forever too see me I literally walked out . They had me waiting for so long that my pain went away on it's own . Never got any medicine for my pain . They didn't even know how to answer my question when I asked when I was going to be seen . Was better off staying at home and taking care of it myself !!!

  The RNs and intake staff are on the ball. They do thier best to get you checked in and seen by a RN in back as quick as poss. They also try and get you to see a Dr. quickly as well. That's where the positive ends. You see the Dr. once, and then trying to see her/him again, let alone TALK to them is virtually impossible! We showed up at 820a Thurs. He was checked in, had seen a RN & a Dr by 930, even though the waiting rm was busy. He was sent for xrays which only took 10min. He was informed that there were some abnormalities on his xrays and that he was going to have to speak with a surgeon. He was put in the hallway with his foot draining on the floor and swelling more and more by the min. They gave him nothing to stem the oozing or to cover his open wound! Around 330PM the surgeons FINALLY showed up to look at the xrays and discuss surgery w him. They told the RN to put him in the 1st available rm. 20min later, he was in a rm. 630p he went back for emergency surgery. Now, on the plus side, they did give him pain medication right away without him even having to ask for it.

  I made the mistake of going to sunrise hospital first where I was ignored for hours which only worsened my condition. I was in really bad shape going into umc but that quickly changed. The staff is quick, polite, and professional. They treated me for pneumonia, dehydration, fever, nausea, low potassium, and a few other things. I wish I would’ve came to umc first instead of suffering for hours at sunrise.

  Had ultrasound done on rt leg the service was provided by a young man name Samir. Worst experience with any staff at this hospital. He did not speak he tried moving my leg without inquiring why it is bandaged. Had he done that he would have known it was broken and I was in extreme pain. Even after I informed him he was still careless with my leg. He just dropped the gel on and applied pressure as if I didn't just explain to him about my leg. He never shared what he going to do to me before or after and once he was finished he aggressively attempted to wipe the gel off of me. It was at that point where I grabbed his wrist and told him I would get it off because he was hurting me. Then he leaves the room and says nothing else to me 10 minutes later I ask if that means we're finished he says oh yes I thought I told you. Not happy with that experience at all
