Rooms are ok. I paid extra for a city corner view and got stuck on the 3rd floor with no view. They added an extra travel charge where I could get 20 dollars at the bar and 10 dollars in their store. When I went to use the store credit, they told me it was too late and it had to be before midnight the night before I checked out. Did not offer to make it right, just "sorry about that". It doesn't make sense why I can't use a credit anytime during my stay prior to check out. Room was OK, hot water took 5 minutes to reach my shower. Bed was comfortable. I think there are better hotels out there for the money. Just seemed like people aren't very happy to work here and customer service isn't really important across the board.

Nice modern room! Mostly clean however the dining experience was terrible! 9am Sunday November 29. Chicago River North. Arrived 9 am for breakfast. I was seated promptly however, I was seated in the very back of restaurant next to the Starbucks bar. Was promptly greeted for coffee and given water. Then waited for over 10 minutes for help as wait staff repeatedly walked past me. I was only given help after asking someone for it. Food was served promptly ! Never received a follow up from wait staff during my meal. By 10:15 wait staff returned I requested the bill and carry out box at that point. For such a lovely hotel I suspect there is some racial bias among wait staff during this time. For the money spent I expect better more professional staff!

I stayed at this hotel with my family. I got a suite upgrade with using my suite upgrade certificate and this suite felt like suite indeed. The living room area was very spacious with the tallest windows that I've ever seen in the hotel room. My son really enjoyed the living room area. There were 2 restroom which I like. There were separate bath tub and shower which I love. It is sad that I could not have a river view suite but I could see at least partial of it. The view was the same in the living room and bed room. We were too busy to enjoy the view from the hotel anyway so it didn't hurt me so much. The problem of this hotel was the quality of food but I figured all of Marriott hotels are serving this low quality of food. I talked to the manager (Ms. Jennipher Griffin) and she took my concerns seriously. This hotel does not have a pool but there is a gym which is very spacious. It has all kind of equipment so if you love to work out this is the right place. I think the location of this hotel is fantastic. I highly recommend if you are looking for a suite room at reasonable price.

This hotel was an amazing choice for our recent stay in Chicago. The service was top-notch, the space was well-decorated and enjoyable, and the location in River North was very convenient. The only issue was the room was warmer than ideal, but that was likely just down to the weather being in that weird in-between from warmer to cooler months.

While we had a tumultuous check-in with some new employees, the manager Drew absolutely stepped it up and went above and beyond the call of duty, ensuring we were not only very satisfied with our hotel stay and accommodations, but provided local restaurant recommendations and directions to some local spots I wanted to check out. He is easily the most professional staff member I have ever encountered at an establishment, but was also very friendly, sincere, funny, and empathetic. He was appreciative of our business. He saved the day! He deserves a major raise! I was and am extremely impressed. The rest of our stay was fantastic and we will absolutely be back to this hotel. The bar staff and housekeeping were also quite wonderful, Can’t wait to return! More than 5 stars!! Also, this is an incredible location and I was able to navigate around very easily on foot to many fantastic places.
