  I love this property!!!! The crew was so helpful and friendly. The lounge is great f spending extra time with beloved ones. I really this place. I had one issue during my stay was I asked for morning newspaper but it was not delivered was supposed this would happen at Ritz... otherwise I enjoyed!!!

  The staff was extra friendly and the products were very nice. The room was fairly average size but with higher ceilings and nicer finishes. I only have two minor gripes about the room: the clock was analog and about two inches in diameter, and there was not a coffee pot in the room. I was traveling with a baby who needed his bottle heated up and had to call down for hot water. They brought the water quickly and were very nice about it. Overall it was a very nice experience. Again, the staff was exceptional and the hotel is nice.

  I came for a social event so I can't review the rooms. The hotel lobby and conference room are nice, not modern nice but traditional nice. The conference rooms are large with comfortable seats and new flat screens. The bathrooms are nice and clean with plenty of privacy. There is a large ballroom in the basement. I enjoy the mints they provide and their pens are very enjoyable to write with. The food was also very good.

  Since the RC is generally my hotel of choice, I've come to find out that because of the manner in which they operate, there are dramatic differences in quality even amongst the RC brand. The Washington DC RC is one of the best. They have a great, easy to get to location that's easy enough to traverse the rest of DC. The staff and service is first rate and very professional. The bar is nice and not over crowded. The club lounge is one of the best among any of the RCs (the LA one is also superb) with great selections and fantastic service. I've stayed at some of the other 5 star hotels and of course there are some boutique ones that are impossible to rival, but as standard 5 star hotels in DC go, this is one of the best, and to me superior to the Four Seasons in this particular city.

  This location is not easy to find and somewhat hidden which is great for high profile guests and events. If you arrive for lodging the staff does it's best to represent the brand with all the bells and whistles. It is finely appointed, somewhat stuffy in some areas, chic and old world at the same time and expensive. Those who arrive to set up for events, they experience a different Ritz. The service elevators are too small for equipment and deco setups. A traffic manager routes cars trying to park underground with crews trying to carry equipment down steep driveways into the event spaces without anyone getting hit or hurt. Thank goodness the public only sees the result, which is a memorable event. The staff is friendly for the most part and works like a fine machine. The public areas are picture perfect but the guest rooms and services still strive for that goal. Most guests seem to over look the imperfections because it's the Ritz.
