::There is no shortage of BBQ places in Memphis, but Rendezvous is always at the top of the list. The history permeates the atmosphere and amplifies the overall experience. Everything on the menu is legit BBQ, but you're there for the mainstay -- the slow smoked dry-rub ribs. Perfection. Personally, I think their mustard slaw is one of the greatest side dishes of all-time. Enjoy!!!

::So here is the deal. Everyone will tell you to go here because it’s the best ribs on the planet. I would not go quite that far. The ribs are good but not what most people expect because they’re dry. There are 2 sauces provided and i opted for the spicy one, that was fantastic. Definitely worth a visit but get there early, the line grows fast.

::Truly some of the best barbecue I've ever tasted in my life... The location is not only quaint and unique it is truly historical and interesting... A basement of a side alley building... That smells delicious with all the hickory smoked barbecue and taste even better... The long Legacy of waiters there that have worked for 20 30 and 40 years... With their parents and with others... Speaks to the stability and the quality of this establishment... You don't keep people working for you for 40 years unless you're making them happy... And they're making the customers happy... Exceptional food exceptional Place 5 stars

::The staff is low key, polite and efficient. Our group of four had about a twenty minute wait. Once seated, we enjoyed the decor and memorabilia dating back to the 40s. The red and white checkered tablecloths really set a mood for some barbecue! The rib and brisket combo was a great plate of food. The dry rub was excellent. The slaw and beans accompanied perfectly.

::Simply amazing! Among the best ribs I've ever eaten, the meat falls off the bone. They're right, they don't need sauce (which is quite good if a little mustard-y). My wife is a big brisket fan and she was blown away by theirs. Baked beans are also among the best I've ever eaten. Slaw is extremely heavy on the vinegar which I happen to love, so be wary if you don't like that style (it also has some flavors I couldn't place so it might be worth a try anyway). Beer selection is pretty good for a BBQ restaurant. Overall an amazing experience. Be sure to get the rib + other combo (shoulder, brisket, etc) for best experience and value. A meal will run from $45-50 for two people and is absolutely worth it. Enjoy!
