Under construction through May. They changed their name to AC Marriott, so it was hard to find. The area is great. Rooms are very modern. I'm slightly peeved that they didn't mention they were under construction when we booked, however they are the one of the cheapest hotels around this area. We are surrounded by much swankier hotels, within a 5 minute walk of the convention center, Coca Cola, and the Aquarium and located right across the street from Centennial Park. If you are going to a convention, then this is a must-stay place as it is the closest, most reasonably priced hotel you will find. Even though the hotel is newly remodeled, the maid service is sub-par. They only cleaned our room once and we were here 4 nights, and they didn't re-stock anything. When I asked the maid for new toiletries, she didn't have any. And the work on the remodel is quite shoddy. I suspect that all of these modern fixtures are going to break in the next year; baseboards are going to rot because of the design of the showers, and the window shades are either going to fall off or get ripped off by a guest who can't figure out how to use them (they are only operated via a wall switch, not by hand). There is zero closet space in the room, no microwave, and the desk is useless for working as an office space since the refrigerator is under is (where your legs would go if you were sitting at it). The doors already don't shut by themselves, so if you just walk out of your room and don't look back or manually pull it shut, it will remain slightly open, obvious enough that someone would clearly see that they could push the door open and let themselves in. The entire remodel is for looks only and lacks in functionality or common sense.

I booked the hotel for a concert that friends and I were going to so we could have a night on the town and not have to drive all the way back to Athens. Unfortunately, the rave reviews weren't what we experienced. The hotel is apparently under renovation...which was never mentioned. So instead of the high price luxury hotel I booked, we were welcomed with a construction zone, equipped with scary looking elevators with exposed wires, a hallway to our room that smelled horrible, and a closed bar and lounge. We awoke to hammering and alarms going off. On top of all that they also charge for parking for guests of the hotel. Definitely wish I would have booked somewhere else! Only positive thing was the lovely lady at the front desk.

We stayed 1 or 2 months prior to completion of remodeling. Long waits for the 1 running freight elevator overshadowed what should have been a good visit. The room was nicely remodeled and workout room is one of the best I have used in a hotel. They didnt offer breakfast even thiugh when we booked it they said they would. The lobby music is loud all the time, even when we checked in at midnight after 10 hours of traveling. Overall, in time, after remodeling is fine it will be good, but frankly they should not have been open for business while we stayed there.

We stayed there the night of the SEC championship game, and absolutely loved it! They are in the middle of doing construction renovations, so it will be even better when they are finished. The head maid stopped by our room to ask if we had questions about our room and if everything was OK. She gave us a personal tour of all the amenities in our room. I love the shade that pulls down to make the room totally dark. The beds were very comfortable, and each bed had 4 pillows. The bathroom was modernized; it had a square toilet, 2 shower heads, and no clutter. I will definitely stay there again!

Front of the building looks like there's no hotel there. They are doing renovations but it still looks nice. Rooms are nice. TV didn't work at first but someone fixed it right away. Staff was super nice and answered any questions we had. Located near a lot of restaurants as well as attractions like the Dome and Aquarium. Very nice stay!
