::Everything about The Grand is eclectic, which to me is a good thing. The surroundings and atmosphere, the food menu, drink menu, specials and pastries. We shared a taco plate, [chicken with avocado] and the cauliflower bites. The sauce on the cauliflower was snappy but not atomic hot. We took some pasties to go to enjoy at the park and they were outstanding! The staff is super friendly and helpful.

::The place looks cool but the service and the food were not that great. A little pricey for the size of the breakfast sandwich you get. My boyfriend ordered one off the menu as is (no substitutions) and they brought him something completely different. When he told the server that he thought he got the wrong sandwich, she asked in a kind of rude way, "well what did you want on it." Obviously, he wanted what he ordered from the menu. When she came back with a second sandwich, it was still nothing like the menu described. We didn't have time to give them a third chance so we left. The chicken tenders and the sweet potato fries were ok though. Both are pretty big portions.

::I would've given a better rating. This cafe doesn't have any healthy desserts, food, or gluten-free as a vegan option . I've mentioned it to the establishment SEVERAL TIMES. Whomever is in charge of fixing the issue obviously doesn't care. In this day and age and because of where they are located SHOULD OFFER healthy desserts, food, and gluten-free options that's vegan.

::Fun decor, great ambience, interesting menu. I've only been for Sunday morning coffee or tea, but at that time of day, service underwhelmed me, (the girls working the counter seemed bored and had the charm of lamp post). Also, the London Fog I got the first time was awful, the coffee I've gotten since was passable but not memorable. Prices are a bit high for what you get, tipping the scales at the $5-$6 range for anything with steamed milk. No gluten-free pastry options, either, which is always a bummer in an upscale coffee shop like this. Looks like it might be more fun to visit for the bar.

::I stopped in a few week's ago. The location is tough to get to due to the light rail and the many constructions currently overtaking downtown. It is a big building that has far too few parking spaces for its size. Inside is a very nice building with plenty of room to relax. I got a coffee and a muffin and both were very nice and delicious. I am not sure if they make their own syrups but the dark chocolate was very good and was not made by the regular brands. The only issue I had was that the coffee bar had one person working register and making drinks. The line back up quick but nobody gave her help. I do look forward to coming back and trying the other items. This is a very nice establishment.
