::This is a very sweet and special place. It has some amazing tea, prepared well on the table by a knowledgeable girl.

::I was so excited about the tea experience that I was about to have, and I was ready to pay almost 100$ for 3 tiny pots of tea (aka 3 small pitches of leaves), but I had no experience. In the end, Spent money for “nothing”. Felt like a scam. I was expecting a great service, I was expecting to know more about the tea, but I didn’t get any of that. And for this ridiculous price I even had to pour hot water myself.

::A simply spectacular place for traditional Chinese tea and tea ceremonies. Expect to be here for 1-2 hours, drinking caffienated, unsweetened tea. There are few places that exist that provide this kind of experience, and I was thrilled to find Tea Drunk. It's on the expensive side, but certainly a lovely and well-guided experience. The hostess (Hannah?) was friendly and extremely receptive to questions both about the process and teas there, but the other tea shops and styles as well. She made sure to tell each guest walking through the door about the type of experience that is offered here, and had helpful suggestions for other place nearby that might fit their needs better. At the time, the owner was in China, sourcing teas and tea ware to bring back. They do not offer a yellow or white tea flight, but we were able to get these teas as part of a 'seasonal' tea flight. We did 3 rounds (3 steepings each) of tastings per white tea, and 4 rounds of the yellow. The hostess was even kind enough to let us taste an additional yellow for reference at the end of the night, and gave us recommendations for other tea rooms to try over our travels. They also appear to sell loose leaf tea and tea wares, though they were out of stock on tea pets at the time. I'll definitely be coming back the next time I'm in town.

::This is not your every-day tea spot. This is a traditional Chinese tea house that specializes in 1-2 hour long tasting ceremonies. If that sounds like more investment than you want to make, I'd look elsewhere. If you, like me, think that sounds *amazing* then this is the place for you! Hannah served us two white teas and a yellow tea. Beyond the tea itself (which was amazing), I was incredibly impressed with Hannah's breadth of knowledge and the amount of care she took to make sure everything about the tasting was just right. (Thanks, Hannah!) Will definitely be coming back next time I'm in New York!

::A gorgeous Chinese tea experience. Set aside at least a half hour (the more the better) to enjoy small cups of herbal tea prepared and served by knowledgeable staff.
