::I've been coming here for years, but I don't think the food is as good after they re-opened. They used to be a but pricey but worth it and now, they're just a bit pricey.

::One year later and i can no longer recommend after 30+ years..the oysters have shrunk..the veggie burger is very disappointing and the blackened catfish has no body and is tasteless ....Yet another victim of the disappearing LES.....MY LAST POST a year ago was as follows.."Always the best blackened catfish in the city .... added bread pudding to their dessert regulars amazing!! cornmeal fried oysters shouldn't be missed" sorry

::Food: - Brunch for $13 - entree, bread, carb side, and drink. The options are mostly egg based with some southern flair. They also have a build your own omelette option. The cast iron corn bread is warm and tasty (+$0.95 if ordering separately) as is the home fries - almost entire pieces of russet potatoes with spices. - Bohemian eggs, and the andoulle sausage omlette are both were good. - Good burgers - medium rare is actually medium rare; comes with 3 slice bacon, pickle, 2 plum tomato slices, 1 lettuce - Jambalaya is nicely spicy with some grated carrots and red cabbage Ambiance: The place is small and cozy (about 20 seats), with a dim but casual atmosphere. It's somewhat hidden away, but has continuous customers. We were seated in about 15 min on a Sunday around 12. There's also a bar for about 10 people and they seemed to have a decent selection of beers. They have an old school jukebox and Christmas lights decorate the interior for some flair. Friendly service and they're good with coffee refills.

::Incredible soul food in the city. Chill vibe, hidden away. Grab reservations if you can. Tip generously.
