  Great bagels but horrible service. The staff are not nice and they screw up your order and won’t own up to it.

  Have been coming here for years. Bagels very good. Basic selection of cream cheese. Nothing creative. Salads are dry and crusty. Would never buy here. The bad-- never friendly. Rushed service. No eye contact. Just grunts. OK i can deal with that hey its NYC. Today i pre ordered 35 bucks worth of bagels. Asked for my order nicely. Was grunted to go to the back of the line. Thats why you pre order to skip the line. Pay and go! Could not believe the bad attitude. They could care less about customer service here. Will never go back

  No better bagel place anywhere. Period. Excellent salad products and great variety of cream cheese types. Wonderful people working there too.

  Tal Bagels on Broadway has above average bagels. They are sometimes warm out of the oven and usually a good blend between soft, doughy, and crispy, with a good amount of seeds. Their cream cheese is good as well, and they have a good selection of tofu cream cheese. The service at Tel Bagels on Broadway is below average. They seem to be chronically under-staffed, rushed, and frequently get orders wrong and have a negative attitude when asked to correct the order. The manager is very busy running the register, but he is often accommodating when there is a problem with the order. There is always a line at Tal Bagels on Broadway whenever I go. I have come to expect this. Overall, this is a good place to get bagels on the Upper West Side in the 90's if you live here. They have pretty good bagels, but poor service. If you are a tourist, I would recommend going elsewhere.
