  Taconic Kia is one of the worst car dealerships I have worked with to date. I wish I had done my homework as I usually do. It seems to be a common theme that they do not accept your trade. Furthermore, they charged me $3500 for what they call their standard warranty. The particular car in question had 28K miles on it. They also didn't even know which warranty I received despite the clear charge on my contract that I unfortunately caught much later than I prefer to admit because I wasn't really using the car.

  3/5/18: Unfortunately, we have to update this originally glowing review, downgrading from 5 stars to 2 stars. Taconic Kia “forgot” to return the Toyota we traded in and left it outdoors in their lot for two months...until we received a notice from Toyota!! We went through endless hassles until the car was finally driven the few miles to the nearest Toyota dealership on RTE 6 then further annoyances with late fees, keys that Taconic Kia “misplaced or lost” until finally, over a half year later we think all has been settled. Very, very annoying ...especially after our initially good impression. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Great experience! Our young, pleasant salesman, Jonathan, treated us with patience and respect from the very beginning. We never had a more satisfying time leasing a car. We felt that we were given a fair price after only minimal negotiations. There were no tricks…no pressure. If only it could always be so. We love the car and highly recommend Taconic Kia and, of course, Jonathan. We would send friends and family there.

  I had mixed feelings. First off, the location is an unfinished mess. When I was finally able to find the sales trailer, I must say I was very happy with Dan, my sales guy. The leasing numbers were great, but the buyout numbers were awful. Almost begging me not to buy the vehicle at the end of the lease. Plenty of standard equipment on the Optima LX for me, EXCEPT no spare tire!! Was told, "nobody puts a spare tire in anymore" by at least 3 people here & that is simply not true. Had to demand 1 be included. Then it wasn't there when I picked up the car. Got fair value for my trade-in. Overall, a better than average experience than most other car dealerships (especially Curry Hyundai----the worst!!), but that ain't saying much.

  I leased a 2018 Kia Stinger GT 2 yesterday from Taconic Kia. Let me say that this experience wasn't the usual car buying experience. From the moment I initiated interest the salesman Dan and the sales manager Pete made me feel as if they weren't trying to just pull a sale . I felt as if I was an old friend to both and the whole process was flawless. I highly recommend this place!!!! These guys are top shelf and if u don't believe me go there and see for yourself. This wasn't the usual skeptical car buying, I felt at home..
